Designer description Studio Ruggiero

The history of the brand

Italian naval architect and naval officer Vincenzo Ruggiero, after retiring, decided not to sit idly by, but to open his own design office. His experience and technical thinking became a good basis for Studio Ruggiero, founded in 1974 and subsequently gaining a name in the superyacht industry around the world.

Philosophy

The team uses innovative technologies, advanced materials and extensive knowledge bases.

The company says: «Developed by Studio Ruggiero in Genoa, Italy, is a guarantee of quality and excellence recognized throughout the yachting community».

In support of these words, it should be added that the company was often invited as an independent expert to resolve disputes between performers and clients.

Specialty

The studio carries out a full cycle of design works for custom superyachts, develops exteriors and interiors of boats. We also offer services on selection of executors (including shipyards) and full support during construction.

Cooperation with the shipyards

Studio Ruggiero has worked with all the important Italian shipyards. The team has participated in projects together with Mondomarine, Benetti, Tankoa Yachts, Bugari Yacht, Baglietto, Codecasa, Azimut, Perini Navi (formerly Picchiotti) and others.

Landmark projects

In 2018 one of the most unusual and energy efficient charter superyachts was launched, the 72-metre Tankoa Solo, for which the team created the naval architecture. Ruggiero has also fully developed the 42.7-meter Kimberly II.

Team

Vincenzo was able to instil a love for the shipbuilding industry and his children. Today Vincenzo is assisted by his son Valerio and his daughter Elisabetta in managing the company.
