Yachting Developments Adjutor Overview

The design specification for the Adjutor called for a long range, high performance cruising yacht easily handled by a crew of no more than three people. The yacht has a traditional pilothouse type architecture and a very powerful mast with well-developed standing rigging. All control of the sails is from the cockpit. She was remarkably fast with a mean speed of over 10 knots on her maiden voyage from New Zealand to Tahiti of 2,300 miles. The Adjutor has also sailed at speeds of 14 to 18 knots and more on more than one occasion during her round-the-world voyage. An important feature of the Adjutor was the large space on board. The customer sacrificed two cabins and only five berths to create a comfortable and relaxing yacht that does not require too much time onboard.
