The verdict

Whisper is the 95.2-metre Lürssen delivered in 2014 as Kismet and renamed after her sale in 2023. She charters for 12 guests at €1,200,000 a week plus expenses in both summer and winter, with a crew of 27, two helipads and a 12-metre pool on the sun deck. Her pattern is the Mediterranean in summer and the Caribbean and Bahamas in winter. Since August 2026 she has also been listed for sale, so plans beyond the 2026–27 winter are worth confirming with a broker.

Base charter fee per week. Expenses are charged on top: usually an advance provisioning allowance (APA, a deposit for fuel, food and berthing), VAT and crew tips; the typical amount for Whisper isn’t published. The standard rate has been €1,200,000 a week since at least late 2023, the same in summer and winter. For 2026 two discounted rates were offered: €975,000 for Mediterranean weeks from mid-September to 31 October, and $1,000,000 for Thanksgiving week in the Caribbean. Burgess notes that Mediterranean charters must start in the South of France, Monaco or Corsica and that the principal charterer must not be an EU resident.

How much does it cost to charter Whisper?

The base rate is €1,200,000 per week plus expenses in both summer and winter (YachtCharterFleet, Burgess, Y.CO; checked October 2026). For 2026 Mediterranean weeks from mid-September to 31 October the rate was cut to €975,000 (YachtCharterFleet, July 2026), and Y.CO offered Thanksgiving week in the Caribbean at $1,000,000. Fuel, food, berthing, VAT and crew tips are charged on top; the typical amount for Whisper isn’t published.

Is Whisper the same yacht as Kismet?

Yes, but not the current Kismet. Lürssen built Whisper in 2014 as Kismet (Lürssen). She was sold in 2023 and renamed Whisper (YachtCharterFleet, 18 October 2023). The name Kismet then passed to a new 122 m Lürssen delivered in 2024 for her previous owner (Boat International, May 2024; YachtCharterFleet, September 2026).

Is Whisper yacht for sale?

Yes. In August 2026 she was listed for sale with Christie Yachts at an asking price of €149,000,000 (YachtBuyer, 14 August 2026). Her interior was redesigned by Michael Smith Design in 2025 (Forbes España, August 2026). She is still listed for charter (Y.CO, Burgess), but a sale could change her charter plans.

How many guests can Whisper accommodate?

Twelve charter guests in seven cabins: a master suite on the upper deck, two VIP cabins, one double and three double/twin cabins, with a crew of 27 (YachtCharterFleet). One cabin is a “sea cabin” on the lower deck, placed where motion is lowest (Boat International). Outside charter she can sleep up to 16 guests (YachtBuyer).

Where does Whisper cruise?

In summer she charters in the Mediterranean, from the French Riviera, Corsica and Sardinia to the Balearics, Croatia, Greece and Turkey (Burgess, YachtCharterFleet). Her winter area is the Caribbean and Bahamas (Y.CO). She was announced to be on display at anchor at the Monaco Yacht Show, 23–26 September 2026 (YachtCharterFleet). We don’t publish live positions; public AIS trackers show where she is now.

Was Whisper in a movie?

Yes. As Kismet she played a central role in Michael Bay’s Netflix film 6 Underground (2019), starring Ryan Reynolds. She was filmed off Taranto, Italy, in October 2018, and the scene in which she is blown up was made with CGI (YachtCharterFleet, December 2019).
