The verdict

Sea Dream is a 45-metre, two-masted Turkish gulet built by Aegean Yacht in Bodrum in 2005 and refitted in 2015. She sleeps 12 guests in six cabins with a crew of seven, and summer rates run from about €45,000 to €59,500 a week depending on the season and the broker. Her cruising ground is the Turkish Aegean and the nearby Greek Dodecanese, which makes her a fit for families or groups of friends who want a crewed week of bays and swimming stops at a fraction of the cost of a motor yacht of the same length. She is not connected with the SeaDream Yacht Club cruise ships.

What it costs

€45,000 per week + expensesSummer · low season

Base charter fee per week for the yacht and crew. What is included differs by broker: YachtCharterFleet quotes the rate plus expenses, while a Turkish agency’s day rate for Turkish waters includes fuel, mooring and port charges but not food and drinks, VAT, crew tips or port and customs fees in foreign waters such as Greece (Opus Yachting). Ask the broker which terms apply before comparing quotes.

Questions

How much does it cost to charter the Sea Dream gulet?
Summer rates start at €45,000 a week in low season and reach €56,500 in high season, plus expenses (YachtCharterFleet). Turkish agency Akasia Yachting quotes €45,500 low, €52,500 mid and €59,500 high season, and CharterWorld gives the same €45,500–€59,500 range. Food, drinks, VAT and crew tips usually come on top; check with the broker whether fuel is included.
Is Sea Dream available for charter?
She is listed for charter by YachtCharterFleet, West Nautical and the Turkish agency Akasia Yachting, and was first offered for charter in Turkey and Greece in 2016 (YachtCharterFleet). CharterIndex shows her as a private yacht, so confirm dates with a broker. charter.ly is a review site and does not take bookings.
Is the Sea Dream gulet the same as SeaDream Yacht Club?
No. SeaDream Yacht Club runs small cruise ships, SeaDream I and SeaDream II, each carrying up to 112 guests with 95 crew (SeaDream Yacht Club). Sea Dream is a privately chartered 45-metre gulet for 12 guests, built by Aegean Yacht in Bodrum (YachtCharterFleet).
Where does Sea Dream sail?
She is based in Bodrum and cruises the Turkish Aegean in summer: the Bodrum peninsula, the Gulf of Gökova, Datça and the Hisarönü Gulf, Marmaris, Fethiye and Göcek, with the Greek Dodecanese as an option (Opus Yachting). Her charter season is May to September (YachtCharterFleet); no winter area is published.
How big is Sea Dream and how many guests does she take?
Most listings give 45 metres overall, with a beam of 9.55 metres (YachtCharterFleet, Akasia Yachting); Boat International and CharterWorld give 39 metres, most likely a measurement without the bowsprit (estimate). She takes 12 guests in six cabins with a crew of seven (YachtCharterFleet).
What is included in a Sea Dream charter price?
It depends on the broker. YachtCharterFleet quotes the base fee plus expenses (YachtCharterFleet). A Bodrum agency’s day rate of €6,500–€8,500 for Turkish waters includes crew, fuel, mooring and port charges, but not food and drinks, VAT, crew tips or fees in foreign waters (Opus Yachting).
